Daniel Defense Layoffs

Based on what though? You said

But they didn't go anywhere.
I meant in the sense that I’ve always been interested in owning one of their rifles but will not be buying anything from them after this. Like I said, they’ll never notice me not buying from them and they won’t care. I get that. You’re welcome to buy from whoever you’d like.

To clarify, I mean that I personally am no longer considering them an option to buy from.

Oh ok. I just didnt want you to think that they were leaving GA and thats why you weren't going to buy from them. I'm not going to discount them as a company since I dont have all the facts. I just found it interesting that they are moving to, I think a larger facility but then have to lay people off.

Yeah it’s a weird deal for sure. I’m sure they weren’t happy about letting people go either. It’s just the timing that makes me lose respect for them.

Good point. We have let people go at different times and for different reasons. We are always the bad guy who did'n do nuffin' right by the ex-employee. Sometimes that may be true but often times it's not. There are usually 2 or maybe 3 sides to every story.

Maybe they are making room for more robotic employees

That's what I'm wondering. I might have missed it but I didn't see anything about economic trouble. They might be fine financially. Could be technological layoffs...

To the dude earlier, I'm not saying anyone owes anyone a severance. BUT if you hand me a non-compete at preemployment it better have a severance agreement with it. Cuz like you said, the worker doesn't owe the company anything either at that point. A severance buys the noncompete.

Sounds like they figured that when the dizzy broad got elected they would have more business than they could handle with adding more employees. Now that we have Trump and dirt cheap ARs.
Time for the layoffs.
Mike
