Ford does not, nor ever has owned Cummins. In 1990 Ford Motor Company purchased 10.8% of Cummins ( as an investment. ). That should tell you something. In 1997 cummins bought the stock back.

Cummins is dominating the on road Diesel engine marked world wide.
