300 is in that rounds range. It isn't capable of consistent hits at 600. The round probably goes subsonic around 500, and when that happens repeatability is out the window.

Mine has a 20" barrel, not the standard 16.5". When I chronoed a few loads they ran 100+ fps faster than published rates. I can, probably, push it out another 100 yards.
In reality, when we are talking killing shots over 300-400 yards, 7.62x39, 5.45x39 or 5.56 NATO are just too light. Last two calibers rely on velocity too much. 7.62x54R, or 308 or 30-06 is what you need.
