Got an email tonight from AIM. They're offering a pretty nice complete upper with Troy rail.

All day long. Daniel Defense hammer forged barrel, milspec bolt carrier group and a Troy rail, all for less money. There are a lot of better options than the YHM upper, that was just one I ran across recently.

Yes, the one at AIM comes with the mid-length hammer-forged Daniel Defense barrel and Troy rail. Not sure if they list the maker of the BCG but the specs on it are good. Yeah, the fluted barrel and diamond pattern on the rail of the Yankee Hill look cool, but it's your decision to make. I'm not an engineer but have known a few and they all said 'form follows function'. If you're dead-set on getting a rail on your first AR the upper at AIM is probably going to be the best quality at that price point, unless you can find a used one at a reasonable price.

The bolt carrier group is from Spikes. Looks like all the specs check out. It's a pretty well squared away upper. Slap on a good set of irons and an optic and you're done.

MB, build is going slow i got my parts kit in and it was the wrong color so had to send it back so now im waiting on that i should order an upper with the next 2 months or so I have a Vegas trip coming up so gotta so some money up for that
