It's also illegal to run your high beams in the USA, when meeting traffic or following the vehicles at night.

If you don't believe get behind a GSP or meet one in the road at night with your high beams on.

I've been working about 5 miles from the house for several years. The road that I travel for the most part has some drivers that are texting, stupid, or just inconsiderate. I usually dim my lights when I see another car approaching, not wait until we are looking at one another's high beams, but it's something about those folks that keeps them really slow on the trigger. Now I don't dim mine until they dim theirs. I had one with persistence last night. We went the full distance with both of us running high beams. lol
