GA man arrested in NY w firearms, he's screwed

And Good luck in your quest....

See, I was at Hartsfield in a Precheck line going thru security.... A gentleman was in front of me very distinguished, well dressed man, all matching Tumi Luggage.. He got pulled to random pat down.. I go thru metal detector about the time his luggage gets screened. They freeze everyone. TSA and APD come out of the woodwork. They all look at me and ask if the Tumi bag is mine...? I said Hell No!... They all glare at me accusingly, and ask then whose is it? I point to the guy being patted down... They grab him escort him to the bag 5 feet in front of me... They ask nicely if he has a pistol in his bag.. He replies" Absolutely not"... They ask him again a little more tension hits their voice...? They guy gasps "Oh my god there is a Kimber 45 in there and it's loaded... My granddaughter was coming over for the weekend and I slipped it in that bag and forgot about"... APD removed it from the bag, emptied it and about 7 people escorted him away...

They kept the freeze for about 5 minutes.. Then Lift the freeze and I can grab my bags. I walk to several officers that are still gathered and asked them for a minute of their time.. I said "Hey it's an obvious mistake that the gentleman inadvertently left his gun in a carryon".. They both said to me SO you can tell what his intentions were? I said It seemed like an honest mistake...? They said it's the judges call, and he was getting charged with a felony... The law was pretty black and white... They did share with a good lawyer it get's pleaded to a misdemeanor....

This is in ATL..... Now add NYC.... Remember where a few years ago we had that Plane thing in to a couple buildings....? They don't tolerate Jack ****

Does that make the laws in NY right? Does that make those laws and the unconstitutional culture of the government something we should just accept as inevitable and unchangeable? I like to think not. If we allow these things to persist in some areas sooner or later we will be an island with no one to call on when things go the same way here. I'd rather we take the opportunity to help this guy in NY than need help myself here in the future.

I'm Done with your infinite wisdom... Common sense isn't so common......

I live by the simple rule: stay the hell out of those states at any cost, nothing up there I want to see. 2 pistols and less than 200 round arsenal, what a joke. Dumb kid
Yeah I've already been e NYC back in 94. And I was a dumb kid back then with a loaded Grendel P12 380 in my over coat. I had no idea how much time they gladly hand out for such offenses. But I ain't been back since and have no desire to go anywhere up that way.

Apathy and laziness are the 2 big hurdles we have to defeat in order to come together and effect any meaningful change. You can write off everything I say if you want but that makes you part of the problem not the solution. How you could disagree with any point I've made is beyond me. Maybe you dont disagree but my points show a line of thinking that requires more effort than you are willing to put in. Fair enough. As long as you know where you stand. Gov loves its mutton.

Haha! So you want to place the blame on me because I’m the problem? You have no idea where I stand, or what I come from, or what I do... I am simply trying to share with you what you are up against in a state you have never set foot in...

I've been to NY. And I didn't need to to gain some magical understanding of the place that would justify unconstitutional laws. Being from there doesnt make you special or give you some unique perspective in this matter.

He was in New York.
All he’s gotta do is spin around stomping his feet and say he identifies as a cop.
Yeah.....a transgender cop.

Then go have a sex change and get as much face time as possible.
The libs will have to take him under their arm pit.

It worked for Bruce Jenner.

New York City isn't part of the USA, and our Bill of Rights doesn't apply there.
It's a socialist Tribal Autonomous Region. Sort of like what the Taliban has in rural Pakistan, we have in urban NY.
The liberal Democrat party is the ruling tribe.
(Up in NY, there are no "Republicans" but a good number of conservative Democrats, but the conservatives Dems aren't in NYC or Albany.)
