I’ve got a pull gauge I would like to calibrate but can’t seem to find any weights in the single digit lbs. size.
Any ideas?

That looks nice! It also looks to be, probably, one of the most accurate ways to measure the pull weight. I guess it depends on application. I would not pay that for checking a hunting rifle trigger. 2.25-3lbs ehh close enough. For benchrest shooters and match applications...absolutely!Friends who use the gauges for competitions say the Spring Gauge accuracy can vary depending on temperature and humidity and suggest something like this to be more accurate:

That’s interesting, and expensive. I don’t really need that level of accuracy but thanks for the info.Friends who use the gauges for competitions say the Spring Gauge accuracy can vary depending on temperature and humidity and suggest something like this to be more accurate:

I guess that’s what I’m going to do. I was thinking maybe fishing sinkers but how accurate could those be?Maybe weigh some coins, ammo or something on a postal scale then use the known weight to compare to your pull gauge??
I think I'd test against another "calibrated" device, such as a postal scale. I doubt they are strictly regulating drop sinkers. That said, probably close enough for govt. work.I guess that’s what I’m going to do. I was thinking maybe fishing sinkers but how accurate could those be?
What?geezer , He knows his stuff.
