Picked up this '57 Winchester 1894 (30-30) off Gunbroker about 8 months ago for a song. Not sure about the history of the rifle, but at some point, an owner inscribed his initials on the top right corner of the receiver (G.L.) I'm supposing this was one of his favorite rifles and possibly the original owner. Similar condition rifles were selling for 200-250 more (without initials), so I said what the hell, can't go wrong. It's all original finish, with few imperfections. I figured G.L. might be "good luck". Seems to group well off hand and the trigger is great for what it is. It's a keeper.
