We will never know exactly what happened or how it happened but if they were incapacitated and he stood over them and executed them then he is a psycho. The thought of standing over someone out of commission and finishing them with a shot to the head at 12" is sickening. Teenage girl or anybody else. It is thug. It is evil. It is murder. Not saying that burglars don't deserve what they get when they break in but they were down and in no position to do any harm. At that point he should have called police and kept watch until they arrived. I don't understand what went through his head when he decided "well, I better put 'em out of their misery..." Like some kind of animal.

I would kill the guy that executed my daughter that broke into his home....executed her AFTER he shot her once and she was on the floor, clearly no longer a threat(according to the story). You bet your ass I would kill him. If you support this you are a psycho too, IMO. A sane individual dosent "put someone out of their misery" that dosent present a threat.

Yes I can agree with that, stupid girl shouldn't have been breaking into his house. Most definitely. If she would've died from the gunshot of self defense , no problem, that's on her. The second and third shots(I think, if I read it correctly) that was administered AFTER his rifle jammed....THATS MURDER. I don't care how you slice it, it's malice murder.

I don't think anyone here is disagreeing with this, only the way he handled the situation after he had already put them down and out of commission. He did not have to kill them to protect himself or his property. He killed just because he could. That's the problem.

How this story reads ( and I know there are three sides to every story) is this guy was waiting to execute ANYONE that came into that house, threat or no threat. I'm not totally sure if I'd vote for ANY self defense in that case. If you sit and wait, rifle and pistol in hand, with all the intentions of shooting anyone that comes through your door because you are tired of them breaking in....that's murder. Your not defending anything but your property(which may be legal under certain laws..) but I am under the impression he was just there to kill...not catch to turn over to police. Who knows...they could've posed a threat to his life...but not laying on the floor gasping for air with a bullet in them.

I think the guy should go to prison, but the burglars are bigger scumbags than the shooter in this situation. They deserved it and their families deserve to feel their pain of their loss for not raising them better.

Well, there are two people here at least who have said they would try to kill the guy for killing their daughter...ignoring the fact that the daughter was a criminal and put herself in the position to get killed like that.

I'd be upset, too...but I'd be more upset with myself for raising a ****bag daughter who put herself in stupid situations and got herself killed.
