I had a 1984 928 that would do that. I finally traced it to a wiring harness board on the firewall on the passenger side. Tiny hole at the bottom of the windshield would let water drain on to it shorting it out. I’m here to tell you I literally spent ten’s of hours trying to figuire it out. This was 1986. Pre internet. I lived in Florida. Major Kudo’s to PAP Porsche in Marietta , guy there told me what and where as he’d ran across it. And they’re still there in same location !Not wanting to soil this thread, but I owned one of the first Carrera 4's off the line in 1989. What a nightmare! Dealer service ( Brumos) was unable to determine the cause of the main problem (engine cut out), no fun when it happens at 70-80 mph in the left lane of a 4 lane highway filled with trucks. The Porsche technical manager had that teutonic arrogance and "it can't be the car's fault" attitude.
Had the car in the dealers 30 times for the engine and miscellaneous other problems in the first 12 months of ownership. The Magnusson Moss Act (Lemon Law) failed me, and the Judge denied a hearing because Porsche had retained King & Spalding law firm vs. my lone lawyer and they got him to believe part of an out of context statement in my deposition.
% Porsche and the horse they rode in on! I did get the satisfaction of knowing that Porsche shelled out more money in 4 years of retainer fees to K&S than it would have cost to replace my death trap.
Ahhh, that feels better, thanks for reading
You have no idea what you are talking about. What do you drive?I’m in agreement with you. C8 is a euro wannabe car. Cool, but not a corvette. Front engine muscle car is a Corvette. People will look back and want the C7’s in the future.
And the 911 is always a classic badass.

Porsche only made ~1500 cars including 200 Lightweight cars which won a bunch of races.
I had a replica.
