Jumper cable issue

I’ve got some just like that .
They were in my basement most of the time .

They are really long , long enough to reach the length of a car , I hate to scrap em but they are missing most of the insulation .

Maybe a half gallon of this?

Those rode on the back of my truck for 10yrs and are 20' long I think, maybe not. I'll probably wrap em in splicing tape, the 3m electrical tape the wire loom/protector. They were over $100 in 05 but it's 4'0 cable. The sun is serious on some Chinese rubber..

You can replace them with a similar quality cable for ballpark $50.

By the time you get rubber hose/tape/loom or whatever supplies you might use to repair the old ones, you haven't done yourself any favors. Put the old ones in a box. You never know when you might need a heavy duty copper cable for a grounding application.

I have these they work great.
