My first car was a 1970 Ford Galaxie 500. Momma got a newer car so it became my first one. It had the 351 Windsor and would haul ass.
I love these. The OP car that was auctioned was okay but a lot of those Cougars and T Birds from back then had the horrible 351M 400. I crushed a really rusty one back in 2012 that weighed almost as much as the old 85 F 350 roll back it was riding on.I drove one of these bad asses back in the day. It was awesome. It had a Police Interceptor package on the engine. We called it the 'Party Barge'. Good times, carefree.
I usually dig Fords the best but I have to say from back in the land yacht days I like cars from all the Big 3 companies. The Marquis,LTD, the Skylark, Electra Deuce and a Quota, even the New Yorker and Cordoba. Oh but especially the Plymouth Fury from the early 70s with the hide away headlights.

My parents hada 62 Mercury meteor , a 65 impala , then a 70 Pontiac wagon, then a 74 caprice convertable
76 Pontiac Catalina boat..455 th400, 10 miles to gallon...
these have gained some traction in the market place..especially the decked out Thunderbird in same body style
