NEED ADVICE ON RUNNING( JOGGING) SHOES

This is what I did back in 2012. Worth it in my opinion. They put me on a pressure plate type treadmill and ran an analysis of my walking and running form and how my feet hit the surface I was running/walking on. Thought it was a little "gimmicky" at the time but the Brooks I settled on are still going strong 12 years later.

First off, good for you. Lots of good info here. And add another to the try a running store out opinion. They really do a lot more than just measuring your shoe size. They measure how you run, arch, etc to really find the best fit.

Hoka as first choice - or some of the New Balance Fresh Foam models.

Hokas look really dorkey but they are so freaking comfortable. That's all I wear now for running.

ive been using altra. The trail running version. The place in McDonough called New Sole lets you try them on and the guy that owns the place goes outside with you to watch you run then give you pointers.
