Nothing like being fired for defending yourself

I can't fault the store in this situation. As an employee, you have to follow policy or request some form of exemption. You can't take it upon yourself to create your own policy. You don't know what type of insurance that business has, firearms on premises might raise their rate or void coverage. There's a lot of variables a business owner has to take into consideration. As policy, most stores tell their employees to COMPLY with robbers. Whatever they steal is usually insured. And it limits the stores liability in case SHTF.

#1 Policy: CYOA. Read the situation, not the insurance policy.
If it is a simple robbery sure, give them the money.
-BUT-
If they try to herd you into someplace private, try to abuse someone, or have the hate attitude...
How many times do you hear of a clerk getting shot, even when they comply?

That all said: It will not happen to me again...
