Much like HVAC, that is a decent method to reduce radon gas accumulation. What about forced ventilation through use of positive displacement?

Realtor suggested we do it because of the unfinished basement.Just curious what made you get the test in the first place?
If it were just me, I probably wouldn't think about it. I have a kid, wife, two dogs and a cat to think about too. If I can reduce the risk of cancer, I'm going to explore the options I have.Ah, yes….
today’s boogeyman, Radon.
Here’s a little update
And… most builders and concrete subs put down a base of 57stone ( sized granite) before placing concrete. Get my drift….Really has nothing to do with humidity. Georgia's geology is the reason for radon beneath homes. Look at all of the granite in the state. Many times uranium/radon is associated with the shallow granite structures in the subsurface. The same reason we have a lot of gold deposits...volcanic intrusions.

And it drifts right into the basement it seems. And… most builders and concrete subs put down a base of 57stone ( sized granite) before placing concrete. Get my drift….
Could be the groundwater level rising, bringing it closer to your basement.Mine definitely goes way up when it rains and low when dry out.
EPA (Federal) used to have radon sampling kits available and free analyses. Not sure if that's still available. I can check.I’m sitting on a granite rock, with a rock Quarry a few miles away…I’ll be looking a little deeper into this… I’m testing the water also…
encapsulation, negative pressure venting, dehumidification, close the vents and seal. I run into so many cabins with crawl spaces wide open and moldy. Talked 2 into encapsulation and what a nice differenceA vented crawl space should allow for accumulated radon gas to migrate outside, however, you are then introducing a possible issue with humidity and mold... whole different discussion.
