Recommendations for a dove gun under $1000

Never shoot Dove with anything less than 12 gauge. 20 gauge aint enough. I use Mossberg or Beretta 12g

What kinda doves you shootin'? A 20 will lay down a limit all day long.

Wanting to go with the wifes family this year and looking for recommendations my homies.

I've hunted Dove, Quail and Squirrel with one of these. Shot Clays as well. Great handling shotgun. Buy it and you dont like it, Ill give you $500 for it next day!

20 does just fine. But, if we are shooting for money, out comes the 26" vent rib A5 with a modified choke and the Federal Gold medal #8 loads.

I shot 6000 shells through one in Argentina with no jams or any other problems.

I just turned 52. Bought my mossberg 500 weeks after 18th birthday. Still have the same gun. Bought a vent Rib barrel with chokes to goose hunt about 25 years ago. Never had any issues. For the money these are great shotguns that last a lifetime imho.

I'm trying an over/under for the first time this dove season. Picked up an unfired Tri Star Magnum Hunter on here with 28" barrels, and I've got alot of Rio high brass loads left over from last year. Won't have to worry about the Game Warden checking for a magazine plug this time!
