SA-35 what happend?

So what happened to the SA-35? Lots of hype about this one and then… nothing. Only saw a few ever listed on ODT. Usually when a new gun comes out with lots of hype it only takes a few months before you see a number on ODT? I don’t even see the SA-35 at many gun stores?

Was it a total flop? Bust? Unreliable? Or was there really no market for the gun?

I see prodigy’s everywhere for sale?

Or did everyone who buy a SA-35 love it and keep it?

I know there was some concern over Springfield subbing out their materials/builds (like they do with the rest of their product line) to another country and folks are a little peeved over the price for that matter. There are other "foreign" HPs on the market that are quite a bit cheaper than the SA.

$699 RETAIL and everyone wants to get $900-$1000. Bought mine at Alexanders for $699. Great gun shoots better than any hi-power I've ever had

I looked into one, but heard about extraction problems from multiple sources. Seemed to be linked to faulty extractor springs. Can’t carry something you can’t trust. Not sure if they ever fixed the problem?
