I'm gonna' go out on a limb and say that one's chambered in .38 ACP and not .38 Super--While dimensionally identical, the Super works at considerably higher pressures and didn't come along until Colt chambered the Government Model for it in the 1930's, IIRC...

May very well be. When he sent it to me to purchase and said .38, I guess I just "thought" it was probably .38 Super. Thanks for correcting my ignorance in this model especially when I am working on buying it.
