So I made it to 60 Now What.....

I turned 60 on the 4th of Jan. I never imagined being this old. I guess I made the club ...

Same, when I was a teen, never thought I’d see the year 2000.

Family said I'd never make it to 21 and I lived accordingly but I did and now I'm old, crippled and running out of time but damn I got some good memories.
Back then we thought the future would be flying cars and world peace...the future sucks.

I sort of retired at 55 but I do some consulting work and other side hustles. Still have some time before I draw s/s. I’m basically a kept man now.

The sad thing is Social Security is more like a check from a “part time” job now. Unless there is something else to get you through, it’s gonna be damned near impossible to make it on SS retirement alone.

Turned 60 this past December. I keep telling everyone at work they can just forget filling my slot anytime soon. I make more working than I'll ever get by retiring. Besides, I ain't killing myself by working. Keeps me young !!

Will I hope you get better. Known you for awhile. Best you can do is stay active !!! Retired 2 years ago . Had a massive heart attack a year later . Did a number on me . I still do stuff . Walk a lot . I still work some. Like Alleycat , I’m almost a kept man !

Looks like I will be spending more time Metal Detecting and Fishing and maybe a little Hunting included.

Congrats on hitting the 60 mark. I'm not far behind and will work till I drop or maybe not. At this point in my life I give Thanks for every new morning I get. Happy Retirement!!
