Kia has bad motors. Hyundai is junk.
Mazda? Seriously is this the 1980’s again?

why is Honda not on the list? Honda Civic are great commuter and fleet vehicles.
Have you been in a Kia, Hyundai, Mazda in the last decade?
Theres a reason they are recording record sale numbers year after year.
Mazda is also one of the class leading suvs in reliability and reviews.
Honda and Toyota are both falling in reliability, sales, and reviews.
Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tuscon, and Mazda CX-5 are all leaps and bounds better vehicles for the money when compared to the Rav-4 and CR-V.

CVT transmissions and scheduled head gasket replacement kept me from buying one.
Head gaskets were a problem of days past with the old EJ motors, but it still wasnt that big a problem. My 2008 wrx with an EJ255 had 140k when i sold it and was running 22psi most of its life.
The FA20 motor that is used across the board doesnt suffer the problems of the old EJs.
CVTs are junk tho.

Getting great service out of 2019 Subaru Outback Touring 3.6R. Retired and just took long driving vacation in August from GA to South Dakota to see all the parks, etc. Rides great, decent mileage (its a six) and the AWD was comforting during some epic rain events.
