I think thats what he meant.. That McCann needs to go ahead and sign somewhere else as well...
Hate to see these guys go, but as a mid market team we cant overpay ppl just for the sake of liking them. If we do then we wont have money for the young ones that are getting ready for arbritation, example Freeman, Heyward, Simmons, Kimbrel...
Hudson is a class act and I hate to see him leave. But, coming off the injury he had and at 38 to start the season, just too risky to sign. McCann, well we should wish McCann well and hope he gets a contract that will set him up for life. He will not get that from the Braves. McCann is 29, in his prime and will command a big payout. American League would suit him best in my opinion, he could then be the designated hitter, and not have to spend all of the time behind the plate. Hate to see them leave.
I loved Hudson but his time is about out, McCann wanted to much money so good riddance. We need a good stater, 2nd base, and center fielder
