i clearly see you didnt look into the DEA raids

and again, there might be current 19 states or however many, thats why i used the qualifier here

until recently (aka not 80 years ago but more like the past ten) pot has been illegal, aka if you are caught with possession of said substance you go to jail

and even if it is legal in those 19 states, the DEA can still come after the seller (they have toned it down but a few years ago it was standard practice)

Like anything else, through legislation. That or you could drive to Colorado and bypass the legislative part and just buy some "illegal" marijuana.
