some people dislike Springfield because they are mostly imported firearms that might be assembled/fitted in the united states. the name is still used but the domestic manufacturing has been mostly eliminated.

the Springfield xd that is beloved by many is actually a name branded hs2000 military sidearm. the difference is hs2000 $300-ish vs $500+ for the xd
