Not a hater, they make great home defense weapons for the untrained. Pull the trigger until it stops going bang. But for me my Avatar, my screen name and my car tag all will let the informed know I love 1911's. And 8 is great, when it's 45 acp!

I shoot Glocks in competitions but carry 7 shot XDS for EDC, I can do it with one if necessary, the 17 rounds are to save reload time. That's why they hold 17 rounds. Most Glock owners have 9mm and it takes 3 or 4 shots per intruder to drop em.
Comparable. Yes. Glocks work great, but M&P fits better in my hand. Different strokes for different folks...just curious as to why a lot of folks don't like glocks seems like a good firearm but is the m&p comparable, thoughts please.
That must be why instructors don't carry Glocks. /sNot a hater, they make great home defense weapons for the untrained.
I have my granddad's 1911 from "The War" (army medic), over the last few years since I received it from my father I have shot about 100 flawless rounds......I don't need to waste a prayer on that one. Not a Glock hater eitherOr let them pray that the 1911 will fire all 8 rounds without a malfunction!
Welcome to 'todays' ODT.I'm just anti plastic... doesn't feel right on my weapon. (Yes I understand the pros and con's) and I think it's like the bloods and the crips (west coast gangs) instead the 1911's and the glock's. . . It's a deep rooted hatred that can only be found in the history books. Or it could be the Irish coffee speaking. (Metal +1, polymer -1)
