Buy a house or land

Went and looked at one today, not that I can afford one, but the local dealer has one in the showroom. The new Corvettes are nice but after seeing the Z06, damn they're next level. 345s on the back. Side scoops are much larger than the standard Vette. Sticker on this one is $150K but I'm sure there's a markup, I didn't ask how much.

At that price point, would you buy a race Porsche with a roll cage or a Corvette?

Fake Ferrari…

I actually still like the look oh the older ones. I understand the need for the mid engine though.
Yeah, it is very Ferrari-esque, but at 1/3 the price. 2024 Vette that beats a lot of Lambos and exotics... Its basically the price of a nicely equipped Silverado or F-150 these days... Not cheap, but nothing is... When you consider what you are getting, its a hell of a bargain...

I'm sure they won't budge off that markup either. When I worked at Ford lots of guys thought they could negotiate a deal on a Cobra, Lightning,Roush car etc. but that doesn't happen. There was no discounting the specialty brand/cars.
Hell I still remember when the Dodge Stealth was new and everyone was floored by a rebadged Mitsubishi. I happened to be at Five Start Dodge on Riverside in Macon and saw two of them. At the time they were the only two in middle GA. I forgot what the MSRP was but that's when I learned what an addendum sticker was. They actually had a hand written Five Star sticker beside the Dodge sticker that read " $3500.00 Limited Availability Fee". If anyone actually paid that then they had some kinda head injury.

Dude, the new truck market has insanity written all over it! I've seen videos about how they aren't selling ( and they shouldn't be) but I still see plenty of them on the roads.
Seriously in the last few years I have seen my landlord buy houses for less than the cost of a new truck.

I'd replace the corvette emblem with a transformer emblem.

Oh yeah. My wife got a nicely equipped 2022 Silverado RST Z71 during Covid and paid like $62k for it. It wasn't an LTZ or a High Country or even a Trail Boss... just an RST with the Z71 package and some options...

I was looking at the new Mustang Dark Horse Premium, but they wanted $72k for it. I was able to get a brand new Vette for like 5 grand less than the Ford...

If you really want to puke, go look and see what a 2500 series diesel 4x4 costs these days... Just priced one out for giggles, and its $75k plus taxes and fees and whatnot, so roughly 85 large for an HD2500 from Chevy...
