Final thoughts on the Dawgs for 2021. 2 things. First, this was the greatest collection of defensive talent in college football history. Second, considering the era of high flying spread offense and the rules catering to them, they might have put in the greatest defensive season ever. Only teams that even remotely deserve mention in comparison are the 2011 Alabama and LSU teams, IMO. College football is crazy. Stetson Bennett. A preferred walk-on who outplayed the Heisman Trophy winner for the National Championship. Dude will have his own movie before it’s over.

Greatest teams ever and not mention the 2001 Miami team. Sorry, no team will ever top them.

lol, I'm really happy the dawgs won. REALLY happy but perhaps when you sober up you'll revisit this post.
They had a great defense, no doubt. Best ever? "C'mon man". Even if you really believed that it's hard to compare as the offensive schemes have changed so much, but yes stout, no doubt.
As far as Stetson, please. That was an average albeit GUTSY performance. They won despite him, not because of him. He had some absolutely bone headed plays I don't hate that kid, at all. Actually admire him for the path he took but if UGA had even a top 10 QB they'd have won in a walk, possibly both times.
I'm just glad the defense got the wake up call in their first meeting they apparently needed.
 
It was no doubt their best opportunity to pull out a victory because if Metchie, Williams, and the two starting defensive corners had been in the game the outcome would have been very different. This actually gets the monkey off of Bama's back because now everybody will be gunning for Georgia.

Bro, he is the MVP quarterback that just gave the Dawgs their first National Championship in 41 years. That dude is set for life.


That combined with his degree, he doesn’t need the NFL. His horizons are much broader.
