Doesn't a 44 magnum make more sense than a 300-400gr bullets going <1000 seems more interesting than 150-175gr
When terminal ballistics matter, then yes. Otherwise a thumper is just expensive to shoot. a 357/38 gun can get quieter than a 44 since it takes less powder, and supersonics can be much flatter shoooting when that is a cause for concern.
My 77/44 will kill a hog in a suppressor hunting legal state, so terminal ballistics are important for subsonic shooting.
