A few more years for me as well. Going back with my buddy in Zone 2. We saw a lot of gators and had a great hunt that ended with a rather intense kill!
I can refer him to you if you need somebody to go with.

I heard the costal gators stink! As in actually smell awful. Is that true?

The mud stinks horribly. I washed it down with dawn soap and water. Then packed in ice for about 6 hours. Helps firm up the meat when I butchered it.

After washing it didn't stink at all after that.....

The way I always do it. I go to the swamp look around and when I see a super big guy I jump in a get him with my bear hands. That's what your going to do right.

Just wanted to be a smart ass so..."bear hands"...Ha!!!

I didn't know it came from the shmud. I haven't been out to the coastal marshes many times. I'm sure they get big out there

Here is a 6 footer skull I did myself a few years ago. I'll probably do the same with this years monster.

I had to lable each tooth and make a map of their location. They all fell out. The whole skull came apart in about 20 different pieces. It was like putting together a 3D puzzle

The biggest gator I have ever seen by far was on Ossibaw island. I'm guessing he ate alot of pork.

Good job. My skull stayed pretty much intact but all the teeth fell out and it was a job figuring that out.

Here is a 10+ head I did.
