He lost $100 AND whatever employee let somebody reach in and take a $100 bill out (they are usually up under the till drawer).
The till came up $100 short no matter how much "business" was done.

I saw the $100 as stolen, the $70 of stuff as stolen and the $30 change as stolen.
None of it was theirs and it's all gone...????

They gave them the $100.00 back, in exchange for $70.00 in goods and $30.00 cash, but the goods only cost the store $35.00.
