can you reload steel cases ?

If I simply couldn't find brass to load, then I can't say it wouldn't be worth a try. I can say if I did, it would be in last ditch desperation.

I think too much of my dies and my firearms to use any steel case period.

AND: My eyes, fingers, hands, plus I'm already ugly enough without having parts of my face re-arranged by a KABOOM!

Tula is selling berdan primers so people can reload Euro rounds

I think those berdan primers are targeted at people that enjoy sticking Ice Picks through thier hands!
both would be about equally painful to me!
I mean i got a lot of better stuff to do than sit around with a beer can opener trying to pry primers out of a case to reload it!-LOL
Unless someone has designed a new method of decapping?

There is a hydraulic decapper. One you dcapped it why not convert it to the other style and drive on?

For those who like to take a walk on the Far Side, here's some stuff from the internet on Berdan Priming:

I too looked into it primarily for reloading BRASS Berdan Primed cases; Bottom Line: It isn't worth the effort
unless you cannot find the cases anywhere else (as in something really rare!)

always fascinated when people think a soft steel case is going to somehow damage their rifle...

My carbines, my choice. Your stuff, your choice. Why does what I do bother anyone? My choices don't affect you or anyone else in any way?

People buy premium AR's and shoot the cheapest **** they can find in them? That doesn't bother me. It's their stuff. I build most of mine and people run them down? I roll fine quality handloads for each one of mine. I don't care what others think. Why do you?
