A thread the other day got me to thinking. I one time found 120.00 at a gas pump. I went in to store and told cashier that I found some money and left my number and told her if anyone could tell me the right amount I would return it to them if they came looking. No one ever called. What’s the most you’ve found ( No I aint the IRS) and yes I pick up pennies heads or tells. Also found a twenty one time in Wally World

There is a crime in Georgia called theft of lost or mislaid property.
If you find something of value that somebody else has dropped and it is not reasonable to think that they abandoned it and don't care for it anymore,
you have an obligation to turn that money over to the property owner of the business where you found it or otherwise to the sheriffs office in that County.

PS: I didn't do this for the last single note of currency I found on the ground at a shopping center parking lot. But I would do it for a substantial amount of money.

I found 1k chip on the floor @ the casino one night, pit boss had security run back the footage and they couldn't find who lost it so they let me keep it
First trip to Vegas with my Quad-Para Cousin at the Imperial.....Four of us to take care of him. Last day passing by the roulette table and one of us 4 said, "Ima play this." I told him #23.....dumb s#$% only put a dollar on it. It HIT.....35:1

When I was about 9 years old (58 years ago) I found a $5 bill at the state fair. My buddy and I had a great day, rode all the rides and eat. Was like finding $40-$50 now.
I went to a third world country in 2001 and a bus ride across the capital was the equivalent of $.025, 2 and a half cents. I now pick up every penny.
