I think I would lose all self respect if I bought a Taurus or Hi-Point, even though gun shops sell a ton of them.

Right on. There are brands that I steer clear of, for the most part, but for the right price I will own or try anything.

Unless someone is being endorsed by a company I have never understood brand loyalty. Likewise I don't really understand brand hatred.
