Anybody know of good deals/ recomendations on a gun safe? It does not have to be a bells and whistles model only practical and functional and "delievered".

Let me just say, buy bigger than you think you need...because you will need it.

This is exactly what I was thinking... If you keep a check on the Macon Bass Pro, you can occasionally find a 'scratch and dent' for a few hundred dollars off the regular price. I got on there for almost half price after I signed up for the store credit card (then canceled it). Mine had one scratch on the side- really not that noticable. Little touch up paint and it was good to go.

Tractor Supply also has decent safes.

As far as delivery, I'd make good friends with someone that has a truck and a strong back.

Bigger.
Go bigger.
((number of guns you have + guns you want) + 3) x 2.5 but don't forget to make room for scoped guns.
Now take the number that they claim the safe will hold and multiply by .7

Then make room for your ammo
Current number of rounds x 4.25 + 1 cu ft. for powder and primers.

You'll then need to get a large locking tool box or job box for all your brass and accessories.
You probably have a tote laying around to put slings, springs, pins, locks and cases in.
Just put them on top of everything.

Oh, and leave enough room by the safe and storage to put in your reloading bench...
