Have you ever seen a listing...

When I first joined ODT it was like a cool community of hobbiests/enthusiasts who were looking out for each other. If you gave someone a good deal on an item it made you feel good inside because "they always wanted one of these" but that "they had another baby on the way" or their "rear main seal had just gone out".

But over time I began to realize a lot of folks will tell you a story to get a lower price. And once they get that lower price they turn around and pad their pockets. Very business-like, but not very hobbiest/enthusiast-like. So then I turned kinda cynical.

And then I realized some folks are really into one genre of gun. They'll flip other guns just so they can support/feed their habit of the one they love the most. Or to pay for ammo so they can continue to train/compete.

Bottom line is you need to be happy with what you sell something for. Once you sell it there's no need to be concerned what the buyer does with it. Life's too short to worry about stuff like that, isn't it?
That's not a very socialist attitude you've got there bubb.

I mean, that's kinda the beauty of having a buy/sell/trade site.
I wasn't raising it as a bad thing, by any means... more of an observation and wondering if others felt the same way as I do. Also because I don't think I've ever not had S/T remorse, so I'm always curious where things go once they leave my hands.

After the deal is completed I don't care do what you want. That being said I did a trade a few years back and before I got home the gun was up for sail. I was mad at myself for believing the guy's story and giving him a better deal. Oh well :noidea:
Then you won’t be mad at me if I sell that Calico?
