How to clean shipping grease off new gun?

Saw on youtube or somewhere that someone had designed this thing made of two metal garbage cans. Remove receiver/barrel from wood stocks etc. Place in garbage can with a lamp with incandescent bulb inside can. Run cord to outside. Place piece of plywood that is wider than diameter of can on top of first can. Cut hole in plywood about 4-6 inches smaller than diameter of can. Place second metal can upside down on top of first can. Plug in light. "Cook" for several hours. It will be hot enough to soften/melt cosmo but not so hot as to damage stocks.

If this is too complicated, divorce wife and place in oven.

That's a cool idea. With all the guns, guitars, cars, money, gold, I lost in my first divorce, I'm never going there again!

Thanks guys. I'm off to get a used stove, some plywood, a lamp, some alcohol (rubbing type, not drinking), and some spray on junk. Oh yeah, gotta pay the water bill so I can boil water.
