How to remove a broken bolt in manifold?

Weld a nut and then add a little heat. Then let cool. Spray with penetrating oil a few times as it cools.

I pretty much remove broken bolts for a living, sometimes I have to heat stuff multiple times. You need to be patient and not force it

yea
spray the base with oil(kroil works great).
weld a nut on it. the heat from welding it will expand the bolt. let it cool for a min. spray again to help cool it and lube it. work it back and forth slowly, dont just try and wrench it out.
sometime its cheaper and faster to pay someone to fix it now. sometime when you try to fix it,it gets real expensive..

If it sheared off at the manifold level, remove all other bolts then remove manifold and you will have enough to get vise grips on. If there is only 1/4 left above the block , follow the previous posts advice. Heat and kroil are my favorite mix.

Some good advice here about welding a nut, heat , cool , kroil.
I bought a set of tools a while back that have saved my rear many times.
You have to have enough room to get them in around the stud but if you do then they usually work great.
They’re like a deep well socket and they have three rollers inside that clamp harder around the stud when you turn counterclockwise.
Sometimes the penetrating oil makes it not grab as well so I put a little valve grinding compound on the rollers and they grip nicely.
Like I said they only work if you have enough room to get them around the stud.

If the bolt is/was hard to turn then it is probably frozen in the hole. If thats the case you may as well take it off rather than waste time with an inaccessible broken stud trying to get it to turn .
Once you get it off, you can work it alot easier and save the manifold.
Just my opinion.
