Yes you can renew early- I did the whole renewal process a month in advance here in Hall county and got my new license 22 days later-

This county sucks. Takes forever and the judge looks for any reason to stall it up. Sounds like you got a judge that is a "gun person" . The one here.... Is not.

Sorry to hear that soviet, mabe one day you guy's will get a major over haul on you local goverment.

Now you don't renew it, you have to completely re-apply. When I "re-applied" last year it was $70 plus $5 for fingerprinting at the Sheriff's Dept. It may have even gone up since then, I'm not sure. But make sure you take cash, they don't accept anything else.

I also called the day before to be sure of the price because the letter I got in the mail said it would be $55 but when I got there it was $70! At least I got it the next week.

More years ago than that it was called a "Pistol Toter's License."

Yeah Taylor County was pretty small back when my wife,and brother and sister weent there. But that is still fast turn around.

$80 w/ SO prints here in Barrow with maybe 2 week turn around.

had to do mine last aug. here in carroll co. it took 8 days to recieve. cost was 79.00.
