I'm not sure if my Canadian or British ancestry is showing through, but when I read this I immediately thought of my Lee Enfield. Proven in battle. Large caliber for large game. Easy to reload ammo in field. Easy to reload reduced power small game rounds, etc. Yeah it's heavy (unless I grab the jungle carb), but what a package deal!

In SHTF situation ..... Boring as it seems, the trusty Glock 19/17 would suit me just fine ... REALITY would teach that avoiding as many "conflicts" as possible would lead to great statistic of survival. In which a pistol you can hide. And move faster without lugging a long gun. Also if you go around brandishing a 12gauge or AR people will notice

I'll have to say 10/22,reliable,accurate 3 or 4 30 round magazines.
1,000 rounds weight around 7-8 pounds ,if I'm walking.... 10/22
