Is it ok for a Buyer to ask for a Bill of Sale (BOS)?

Whatsamatter , you aren't selling hot weapons, that'd be the only only reason I know of, to not swap doc's with each others info, covering my butt and yours, no DA is gonna buy, "but he looked like an honest citizen, how was I to know he shot his boss with that gun I traded for"
The extra info such as DL & GWL# are only for those that volunteer it, a min would be name, verified, & address with gun serial #'s

The only thing a DA needs to "buy" is:

I sold that gun pursuant to the law as outlined and enforced by the ATF -

A person may sell a firearm to an unlicensed resident of his State, if he does not know or have reasonable cause to believe the person is prohibited from receiving or possessing firearms under Federal law. A person may loan or rent a firearm to a resident of any State for temporary use for lawful sporting purposes, if he does not know or have reasonable cause to believe the person is prohibited from receiving or possessing firearms under Federal law. A person may sell or transfer a firearm to a licensee in any State. However, a firearm other than a curio or relic may not be transferred interstate to a licensed collector.
