I was fortunate enough to find one at a gun show on a table and it dropped right in. I'm not certain aftermarket would even be an option he may have to go original equipment. And there's always the possibility of a little bit of filing to get it to fit.

Winchester was just a couple of connecting / contact points. I cannot imagine Marlin would be more difficult.

I just viewed Marlins web site and have not considered that the 1895G has a straight stock while the 1895BL sports a curved stock.

I would like to add a big leaver to my SS1895G as well as the blue one if the cost is not prohibative. Has anyone done this and so what was the cost and how difficult was it?

Look @ www.wildwestguns and www.rangerpointstore for big loop levers for the straight stock 1895.

They are pricey.

Thanks for the two sources. At $179 the WWG, is nice but not in the plan for a mod and I did not care for the look of the Ranger Point BL. I will try Marlin on Monday and look at the gun shows if needle.
