I wouldn't low ball them. I'd steal their pics and description and create a listing for the same thing at 40% under market price and close your ad for comment. Accept bids via PM only.

You can do it but just remember when you list your stuff for more than it's worth don't get offended when you get low balled.
Personally I think they should charge a dollar every time you relist something after the fifth try. Ask what you want, but there should be a limit to the number of times you hit relist

I am confused. I didn't realize there was a waiting period to give lowball offer especially since I have seen them on the "Deal of the Day" minutes after someone posted "I take it". OP -- don't wait and offer away. he worst that could happen is they put your on the ignore list.
