Yeah, but its a shame to do so to a good condition runner when there are so many beaters out there that would need a tear-down & rebuild to just get ridable anyway.

Long term cafe build

My boy has a CX 500 that needs a tensioner But would be a great one to Cafe. Quite a following for that type of build.
Could be had for cheap. He might would even out a trade?

CX500 is a better platform for a classic "cafe bike". The big GSs are really from the era of "Superbikes".
Well after some careful consideration. This one will stay much as it is now. I will be picking up a frame this week and i guess have 2 bikes. Hmm now how to sell that to the wife. I guess its like guns. 2 is 1. 1 is none. Pics to follow of the new shorter term cafe build.
Tell her it was pregnant and just had a baby! LOL.
i know i will probably upset some traditionalist but its mine. i have made some progress.
