looking for Lanier walleye advice.

yes. tons of them. said to be the best eating freshwater fish you can hook up with.
been 30 plus yrs since ive caught one or ate one.
they are said to be stocked in lanier to keep the herring populations in check.
they get off the hook, fishermen toss their bait in after a long day and they populate very quickly and doing destruction along the way.
ive talked with a few guys over the yrs on lanier. they say the walleye they caught was at low light levels
and as close to the bank as they could get, but nothing on how they were catching them.
Not sure about Lanier but we catch a bunch in Carters lake and lake Burton. Winter time is easier to catch them down here. I’m from Northern Michigan and we catch a bunch up there. Best eating fresh water fish out there.
We use the same technique as up north. Jig/minnow and slow trolling crawler harnesses.

We used to bounce nightcrawlers off the bottom (on deep structure) when I lived up north. I don’t know what the strategy is on Lanier. I knew there were some in Lanier but didn’t realize the population was doing well.
Wait until February/March. Fish crankbaits, plastic grubs, night crawlers. Focus on the north end of the lake. Huge population that few know about.
