Microstamping....not sure I totally understand....

Millions of guns and all having their own distinct firing pin "fingerprint"

Then lay it on the back of the gun industry to pay for its implementation .

It's great that the state is the test subject and the gun industry just needs to say hell no, which then by default the state has banned all new handguns, an act beyond unconstitutional.

Won't do a damn bit of good until every Harbor Freight file in the country is rounded up and destroyed. Oh- and rocks too. It is really easy to deface metal if you're so inclined.

For all the expense and burden a $3 pack of 100 grit or a cheap file will nullify any possible impact.

The bottom line is just how many murders are solved by ballistic testing? How many murders have been solved by a fire case? This would be entertaining to know for sure.

If the law were expanded throughout the country, Feuer believes the technology could help solve the approximately 45 percent of gun crimes in the country that go unsolved.

Really? I expect that most criminals don't buy guns for crimes legally through a licensed dealer nor do they register them in the states that require the unconstitutional requirement. Well not if you believe the DOJ data.......
