So my well pump works but only after I flip that little arm on the left side of the pressure switch to just the right place. Any idea what I need to do to have my pump working correctly ?

Much appreciation !

Mine will do the same thing if it sits for a long time and not used. Deep well pump. Think it loses its prime sometimes. It is used for outside use only no longer for the house.

The lever on the side of the pressure switch is the manual cut out lever.
It turns off the pump when the pressure is 10 psi below the cut in pressure.
This is designed for run dry protection of your pump.
For example, If your pressure switch is set to turn on at 30 and off at 50 then this circuit turns off the pump at 20 psi.

There could be an issue with the pressure switch or the system could be losing prime.
Do you have a pressure gauge in the system and are you able to verify the the cut on and cut off pressures?

Do you think the switch needs to be replaced ?
