I road Bike Ride Across Georgia "BRAG" with a guy that was mugged on the silver comet. He was riding and some thugs 2x4d him and attacked him. He peppered them and felt like he would have been dead otherwise. Make no mistake the comet can be dangerous.

i have had a naa 22lr revolver for 20 years and have carried it ALOT, but these days, the 9mm, pf9 is about as small as i carry on a daily basis.

Not a.bad idea to carry something less than lethal

I tell all my students "If you carry a gun, you should carry pepper spray. Period." Some people on another forum said they didn't want to take a chance on having to explain why they shot someone instead of pepper spraying him. If you can't articulate the difference in circumstances, you shouldn't be carrying any weapon at all. There's no excuse for failing to have something like a Spitfire on your keychain. I don't leave the house without it.
