My weekend getaway shack in The mountains was built from aged rough cut oak. it so hard you can’t drive a nail in it.

Also getting eaten up by powder post beetles but apparently there is no cure for that?

i had a lumber yard send me 30 day pricing last week and studs are running just under a dollar a foot these days. OSB is over 30 dollars a sheet. i remember selling osb for about 4.75 a sheet when things were at their worst during the recession. the mills are making a fortune right now.

Spray it with diesel. I know guys that did that out west to keep the bugs off of wood.
