Try to find out what a police dept. procedures or training prepares them for. Info denied. It seems apparent from our collective experiences that the cops are trained to view everyone else as expendable in all circumstances. If a leo exhibits deviant behavior, they are shuffled off to a new location and hired in the same capacity. In some states it is impossible to even find out their transgressions for being fired. When reviewed for infractions, they are held to a "secret society of peers" standard that seems to protect the profession. All officer crimes should be investigated by the FBI. Any gun owner should know the procedure for gun safety or leave them alone. Whether leo or cc or hunter or anyone even at home can not handle guns when drinking. Badges do not matter. On duty or off duty does not matter, as it is a matter of gun safety. If the cop could have walked a way and did not, it was murder. The family and friends of the victim need justice to lessen their lose. Nothing can make it right. Next time anyone has a few beers and wants to play with guns, sell them instead.
