Beautiful rifle, definitely one of my unicorns.


Here's one that I managed to catch though. It's an M1903-A4 rescued from a sporter configuration and returned to military trim. Scope is a civilian version though.

Had me a 1,000 yard rifle built a couple of years ago by Hammonds Rifles in Red Lion, Pennsylvania. I had a Remington 78 Sportsman that provided the action and I asked Clarence to use the stock if he could. It's in 6.5X284 and it shoots WAY better that I can. Problem is it leaves me with no excuses. Clarence also made the reloading dies including a seating die and turned 200 cases for it. Scope has custom turrets made for this rifle. It wasn't cheap but I figured I have as much right to a nice rifle as anybody.

That’s one beautiful rifle!
