Replacing Military Medals and Ribbons

Thank you CQB27 for initially posing the info.... I got all the medals, rank insignia from the Nat’l Archives and Navy Records, and chief’s pin, USNR honorable discharge pin, and added the crossed flags and Navy pin from online sources. My aunt had a picture of him in his uniform shortly before his discharge in ‘46.

My Granddad, John Gattis, from tiny Plains, GA. The greatest man I will ever know. March 10th would have been his 100th birthday. We’re giving this to Grandmother in 2 weeks.

I wish I would have visited more.
